www.autosworld.eu/forumOur club would like to bring into your attention some aspects related to the "Masini Celebre" collection from Romania, issued by your company or sold in Romania by your company, as we were directed by a leaflet inside the collection magazine to write our comments and opinions to your company.
Please take our message below as a constructive opinion and help from our side.
1. "Masini Celebre" (Famous Cars) collection distributed by Burda Romania (or Amercom PL???)
1.1. Do you (or Burda Romania) have any employee specialized in this field at your company (die cast car collector with some years of experience in this field) ?
Note: If not, it would be better for you to have one. As far as it seems, these die cast cars are not collectible die cast cars but toys for children under 10 years...These cars do not respect any criteria in order to be collectible die cast cars. Usually, these cars are sold in Romania together with poppies at the grocery stores at the price of 3 RON ( 0.75 Euro).
1.2. As we would like to know more about the idea of going out on the market and selling these toys, we would like your company to tell us to which people segment are you adressing to, with this collection: children under 10 years, or die cast car collectors, or both categories?
Note: In case of addresing to collectors, your company just "lost the battle". The Romanian collectors WILL NOT BUY THESE UGLY TOYS.
1.3. Does your company intend to go out on the Romanian market with ALL THAS HAS NOT BEEN SOLD IN OTHER EUROPEAN COUNTRIES?
Nota: If yes, you lost the die cast car collectors market segment in Romania. If your intention was to address to children under 10 years, as we already told you in the above mentioned, there are cheaper toys, exactly as the toys sold in this "Masini Celebre" (Famous Cars) collection, and those toys are sold for 3 RON ( 0.75 Euro) not 10 RON (2.25 Euro). So, you lost the childen under 10 market segment as well.
Note: Romania is not the junk/ rubbish/ garbage bin of Europe, so the entire Romanian die cast car collectors community asks your company to have a little respect for this community when you go out on the Romanian market with such kind of collections.
1.4. Famous cars are not only supercars or sport cars. For example Bugatti Royale, produced in 1920-1930 was a famous car also. And many, many others, now oldtimers and still famous.
